The UN should be the place where people can come together to recognize the needs that exist in our world, engage in peaceful dialogue and form partnerships to implement solutions.
It's a privilege to be at the UN and help address issues affecting our planet, such as access to clean water and technology. However, lack of trust, communication and transparency, as well as excessive bureaucracy, are major challenges for the effective collaboration between the UN and NGOs.
We have to believe that these obstacles can be overcome, focus on the potential and support youth leadership so that the important work at the heart of this organization can be maintained and strengthened going forward.
