Civil society doesn’t necessarily make the press, but it’s constantly in motion, working towards peace and unity.
The more you support the efforts of the UN, the more you get to see good will in action, with all of the NGOs actively engaged in revolutionizing the way the world works.
The transformative experience in my life was the idea of taking a political action. I was an anti-war activist, and resisting didn’t seem to be working. The attempts were about being against things, and it lightens my heart to be for something. My message is not to resist, but to be for the UN and what it represents, be for right human relations. We’ve already got the UN to connect us, and now it’s up to us to make it work.
