Representing the Mayor of Paris, Betrand Delanoë, was Senior Deputy in charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Discrimination and renowned film director, Yamina Benguigui (right), who joined DPI/NGO Conference Chair, Shamina de Gonzaga to open the Human Rights Village on 30 August 2008.

Also present at the Opening were messengers of the Elders Group “Every Human Has Rights” Campaign.
