what moves you?
what moves you? collaborates on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
2008
Adopted by the UN General Assembly in Paris in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is the world's most widely translated document. It establishes the indivisibility of human rights, including civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. Although, in practice, these rights are still often violated or denied, the UDHR provides a vital framework to mobilize people and hold governments accountable. To mark the UDHR's 60th anniversary, what moves you? helped get the word out and explore the Declaration's impact in 2008.
