Chaired by what moves you? co-founder Shamina de Gonzaga, for the first time in its 61 year history, the UN's annual Conference of NGOs associated to the Department of Public Information (DPI) was held in Paris, at UNESCO Headquarters, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was signed in Paris in 1948.
www.un.org/webcast/dpingoThe Conference was the largest UN NGO gathering to mark the Declaration's anniversary, with over 1,100 representatives of NGOs, human rights defenders and grassroots activists, as well as Member States, the UN system, academia, media and others.
